Thesis

As a graduation requirement for my Plan II major, I conducted research and wrote a thesis paper over the course of a year. For my thesis, I investigated consumer awareness and behavior as drivers behind the rise of fast fashion and the circular economy, researching consumer trends, studying global surveys, and conducting case studies. Through my research, I uncovered the driving forces behind consumer buying habits and presented meaningful evidence that illustrates consumers are interested in buying more sustainably in the future. My research can aide companies looking to enter into the sustainable fashion industry, or those who wish to better understand their target market and apply strategies that will attract sustainably-minded consumers. I presented my findings at the Plan II Fall 2023 Thesis Symposium to my peers, professors, and other UT Plan II students.
