Odevaiwear Internship

During the summer of 2023, I interned in Copenhagen, Denmark for six weeks and conducted in-person research alongside a team of nine other interns. We worked for Russian company Odevaiwear, a womenswear brand that makes size-inclusive products and focuses on sustainable manufacturing. As interns, we were tasked with learning about Scandinavian culture and sustainable fashion practices in order to help Odevaiwear adopt new and advanced production practices. While in Copenhagen, we researched sustainable production practices and design methods and engaged with local designers and companies such as Nikolaj Storm and BESTSELLER to learn more about their sustainability initiatives. Additionally, we designed a plus-size gender-neutral capsule collection of 3 looks, incorporating sustainable design and production practices such as zero-waste patterning and sustainable material choices. We also created a social media and marketing campaign proposal to advertise the collection and utilized Adobe Photoshop skills to generate renderings of a collection photoshoot.
